You're in luck - I am a Certified Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur Specialist. Contact me to turn your dream into a reality. Visionary? You can look at it like that. The roads of this world lure us with countless curves and corners. At night in particular, it is vital to achieve optimum illumination of the roads. As a result, at the point where human visual acuity reaches its limits, Porsche is extending the field of vision thanks to intelligent technology. This means you reach your destination faster, or simply allows you to enjoy the driving experience. The Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) and the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS Plus) convert the main headlights of your Porsche into active assistants which do everything to ensure a relaxing and comfortable drive. After all, when it comes to controlling a vehicle, a visionary approach is sometimes characterised by the ability to see objects those decisive few tenths of a second earlier.
Dynamic cornering light
The dynamic cornering light swivels the main headlights into the bend, depending on the steering angle and vehicle speed. In Panamera and Cayenne models, the static cornering light additionally activates auxiliary headlights to illuminate tight corners or when turning.
Dynamic high beam
The dynamic high beam detects the lights of traffic traveling in front and of oncoming traffic. The intensity and range of the light beam are thus adapted to the relevant situation. This allows you to detect the course of the road, pedestrians or any dangers at an early stage without dazzling other road users.
Intersection light
The intersection light function detects intersections and junctions using the navigation data of the Porsche Communication Management (PCM). The system then switches on the left and right cornering lights simultaneously for optimized illumination at intersections. If there is one road joining the one you are driving on, only the static cornering light on the side facing the road mouth is activated. Porsche Car Connect is an app for your smartphone which offers a host of useful options for you and your Porsche. Porsche Car Connect includes Remote Services, Vehicle Tracking Services, and E-Performance Services. The Remote Services allow you to access vehicle information and control selected functions remotely. Atlanta, Georgia. Porsche is responding to the growing demand for a built-in navigation device for vintage Porsche sports cars with its Porsche Classic Radio Navigation System. Following its successful market launch in Europe in February 2015, the Porsche Classic Radio Navigation System is now available in the USA and Canada. This purpose-built unit combines a style reminiscent of the original equipment radios in these cars with the benefits of modern digital technology. It fits perfectly into the DIN-1 slot used for decades in Porsche sports cars and is operated by means of two knobs, six discreetly integrated buttons, and a touch-sensitive 3.5-inch display. The new Classic Radio Navigation System also comes prewired with a lead for an optional SiriusXM® satellite radio tuner. With its black surface and two authentic styles of knobs (both supplied as standard), the Classic Radio Navigation System blends harmoniously into the dashboard of classic Porsche models. It bears the Porsche logotype and is suitable for sports car generations between the first 911 from the 1960s to the last air-cooled 911 (993 series, MY1998), as well as the 912, 914, 924, 928, 944, and 968 models. The Porsche Classic Radio Navigation System comes with key features of today’s systems. In addition to smartphone connection via Bluetooth, the unit has low-interference radio reception, precise navigation, two USB ports, and interfaces for a variety of external music sources, controllable from the display. In addition, the Classic radio has an internal microphone and an external microphone. The integrated amplifier delivers 4x45 watts and can be connected either directly to the loudspeakers or to the original sound system using an optional adapter cable. Exclusively developed and adapted for classic Porsche sports cars
The Porsche Classic Radio Navigation System has been exclusively developed for Porsche Classic sports cars. Radio reception, for instance, has been optimized for the built-in antenna supplied during original production (which is generally only a single telescoping rod). The device’s operating concept is based on Porsche Communication Management (PCM). It has undergone extensive testing at the Technical University in Munich to verify user friendliness, and numerous trial trips were made in the USA and Canada to test country-specific navigation. Drivers have a choice of arrows and two-dimensional or three-dimensional maps to display the route, and the maps are stored on a microSD card with eight gigabytes of memory. The new Classic Radio Navigation System is available immediately from authorized Porsche dealers. The Porsche Classic division of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG is responsible for supplying parts for vehicles generally produced more than ten years ago. Its services cover all aspects of technical literature as well as the supply and reproduction of original parts, and even extend to complete restoration. The company is expanding its international dealer and service network to around 100 Porsche Classic Partners for optimal support of classic cars. Customers can expect a wide range of Porsche Classic services from Porsche Classic Partners. Through this measure, Porsche has integrated the care of modern classic and vintage cars in an innovative service concept, closely linking Porsche tradition and Porsche innovation. Atlanta, Georgia. Porsche Cars North America has launched its New Vehicle Delivery program at the Porsche Experience Center (PEC) in Atlanta. The program enables customers to place a factory order for a new vehicle through any authorized Porsche dealer in the U.S. and take delivery directly from the experiential destination, located at One Porsche Drive in Atlanta. California forensic accountant and attorney Tracy Blumenthal was the first official customer to participate in the program today when she picked up her new Cayenne S E-Hybrid sport utility vehicle. "We are thrilled to launch the New Vehicle Delivery program as another premium offering at our Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta," said Andre Oosthuizen, Vice President, Marketing, for Porsche Cars North America. "We welcome further customers to follow the lead of Tracy Blumenthal and enjoy this exclusive opportunity to truly experience the Porsche brand." New Vehicle Delivery customers receive a total VIP experience, comprised of a tour of the PEC, an in-depth vehicle orientation with a delivery specialist, a 90-minute experience in a Porsche on the driver development track, and lunch at Restaurant 356, Porsche’s fine-dining destination. Because Blumenthal is the first customer taking part in the New Vehicle Delivery program, she also enjoyed a special demonstration lap in an 887-horsepower 918 Spyder plug-in hybrid supercar with former Porsche race car driver and 24 Hours of Le Mans winner David Donohue. "Porsche is a remarkable brand that I have repurchased multiple times, consecutively," Blumenthal expressed. "You truly can't understand the genius of these cars unless you have in fact had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of one."
In addition to Blumenthal’s new Cayenne S E-Hybrid and the 918 Spyder, also on display for the launch were the two other Porsche hybrid vehicles – the Panamera S E-Hybrid and 919 Hybrid race car. The New Vehicle Delivery program marks the latest in a unique set of offerings at the Experience Center designed to immerse customers in the complete Porsche experience. Other PEC features include a 1.6-mile driver development track, conference and meeting facilities, a Classic Workshop for maintenance and repair of customer vehicles, the Porsche Heritage Gallery and the fine-dining Restaurant 356. Approximately 17,500 guests visited the PEC between June and December 2015. The New Vehicle Delivery program is available at no additional cost to all Porsche customers who place a factory order for a new Porsche vehicle. To register, customers coordinate with their local dealer and cover necessary travel arrangements. Reservations are limited and scheduled by appointment. Further information is available at any authorized U.S. Porsche dealer or online at www.porsche.com/usa. ATLANTA. The 2017 Porsche 911 made its red carpet appearance at one of the Hollywood industry's most high-profile events, the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards. For the third year, Porsche once again celebrated the nominees and winners that attended the A&E televised event, hosted by actor/comedian T.J. Miller, on January 17th.
"Porsche is excited to be a part of this coveted event as we applaud some of the most talented actors, best films and television shows in Hollywood," expressed Klaus Zellmer, President and CEO, Porsche Cars North America. "For generations, there has been a fascination between Porsche and Hollywood and it's exciting to showcase our passion for performance with the best 911 yet." The new 911 Carrera is taking performance and everyday usability to new heights. The new 3.0 liter engine featuring twin-turbo technology enhances the driving pleasure with significantly increased torque and 370 hp for the standard model. Many exterior and interior features of the 911 Carrera have been enhanced and visually refined. Latest features include the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with a 7-inch multi-touch monitor and real time traffic through Google® StreetView. Handwritten user inputs are recognized. Mobile phones and smartphones can now be connected via Wi-Fi. Also new is the option of connecting an iPhone® to the PCM to utilize Apple CarPlay™. Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG can look back on an extremely successful fiscal year in 2015. With 225,121 vehicles delivered to customers worldwide, the company achieved a new record in 2015, exceeding the previous record of 189,849 cars in 2014 by 19 percent.
"The figures reflect the pulling power of our brand as well as the appeal of our products which we have launched on the market in the past few years," says Dr. Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG. "Focusing completely on the development, production, and sales of highly emotional sports cars is paying off." However, sales are only a secondary yardstick for success for Porsche. "What is much more important for us are customer enthusiasm, return on sales, and secure jobs," says Blume. The 911 legend continues unabated. The sports car icon recorded an increase over the previous year of four percent with just under 32,000 units delivered. "This growth, even in a year in which the model was changed, shows the immensity of fascination for the 911 on the markets," said Detlev von Platen, Member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG. The new 911 series will be available in the United States in March of 2016 with the flagship 911 Turbo models available in April. Clearly, the growth drivers are the SUV models and the best-seller is the latest addition to the family. With more than 80,000 cars delivered globally, the Macan became the most coveted Porsche already in its first year of full availability. It is closely followed by the Cayenne (73,119 units). Compared with the previous year, the Macan and the Cayenne achieved two-digit growth figures. Cayman sales rose slightly by one percent. The Panamera and Boxster models lagged behind the previous year levels. The reason for this is the upcoming model change from which Porsche is expecting renewed growth in 2016. In the future, the Boxster and Cayman models will be branded as the 718 model series and will continue to advance both technically and optically. For the first time, the strongest single market in 2015 was China where Porsche delivered 58,009 vehicles. Compared with 2014, this was an increase of 24 percent. In the United States 51,756 vehicles were delivered, a growth of 10 percent. The European market grew by 24 percent to 75,354 units where Germany was the strongest single market with a total of 28,953 vehicles delivered (up 21 percent). Atlanta, Georgia. With the new 2017 911 Carrera 4 and 911 Targa 4 models, the traction advantage courtesy of an enhanced all-wheel drive system is paired with innovative turbocharged engines that are more powerful and consume less fuel than their predecessors. The standard adaptive PASM chassis (Porsche Active Suspension Management) with its ten-millimeter reduced ride height provides an even greater bridge between agile handling and sophisticated ride comfort. Rear-axle steering is available as an option for the Carrera 4S models and enhances the car's agility even further. The standard Porsche Communication (PCM) connectivity and infotainment system with a multi-touch display offers simplified usability. The all-wheel drive models feature the numerous optical refinements of the new 911 Carrera models, including headlights with four-point daytime running lights, door handles without recess covers, a redesigned rear decklid with vertical louvers, and new rear lights with characteristic four-point brake lights. Additionally, the Carrera 4 and Targa 4 variants are distinguished by a light strip between the rear lights which is now particularly distinctive thanks to its three-dimensional design. When illuminated, it reinforces the impression of depth. The light strip also underlines the wider body of the all-wheel drive 911, with the rear width increased by 44 millimeters over the two-wheel drive models. The refined look of the new 911 range also underlines the sophisticated elegance of the Targa. With its individual design, the new 911 Targa continues to stand out from the Coupé and Cabriolet. It combines the classic Targa design with an advanced roof in spectacular fashion. Like the legendary original Targa, it has the characteristic Targa bar in place of B pillars, a retractable roof section over the front seats, and a wrap-around rear window without C pillars. The roof segment can be opened and closed at the push of a button, with the soft top being stowed behind the rear seats as it opens. Faster acceleration, reduced fuel consumption More than four decades of experience with turbocharged Porsche engines used in motor racing and on production sports cars went into the development of the new flat six engines. The result: a new three-liter, flat six twin-turbo engine that sets new standards in performance, driving pleasure, and efficiency, while offering a 20 hp increase compared to the previous engine generation. Thanks to twin-turbo technology, the three-liter, six cylinder engines in the 911 Carrera 4 and 911 Targa 4 develop 370 hp and 331 lb.-ft. of torque. Using turbochargers with modified compressor wheels, a model-specific exhaust system, and different tune for the engine management system, the 4S models deliver 420 hp and 368 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines offer significantly greater torque than their predecessors, which is available across a broad power band from 1700 to 5000 rpm. Thanks to the new electro-hydraulically controlled all-wheel drive, the 911 Carrera 4 accelerates even better than its comparable two-wheel drive counterpart for the first time. Equipped with PDK and Sport Chrono package, the 911 Carrera 4 sprints from zero to 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds (0.3 seconds quicker than the previous model), with the S model taking 3.6 seconds (0.3 seconds less). Targa and Cabriolet models need just 0.2 seconds longer. Top track speeds range from 178 to 189 miles per hour, depending on the transmission and model variant. All 911 Carrera 4 and Targa 4 models come with a seven-speed manual transmission as standard. Traditionally, every new generation of engines from Porsche combines more output with less consumption. The new all-wheel drive 911 models are up to 12 percent more efficient than their respective predecessors, according to the New European Driving Cycle. EPA figures will be available at a later date. Adopted from the 918 Spyder: Sport Chrono package with mode switch In conjunction with the optional Sport Chrono Package, the new 911 models now have a mode switch on the steering wheel for the first time, which has been derived from the hybrid map switch in the 918 Spyder super sports car. The mode switch consists of a rotary dial with four positions for the driving modes "Normal", "Sport", "Sport Plus," and "Individual". Depending on the optional equipment installed in the car, the "Individual" setting lets drivers configure their own individual vehicle setup for the PASM, PDK shifting strategy, and Sport Exhaust system. In conjunction with the PDK transmission, the mode switch has an additional feature, the "Sport Response Button." When this button is pressed, the drivetrain is pre-conditioned for maximum acceleration for up to 20 seconds. Re-engineered PASM chassis, enhanced electro-hydraulically controlled all-wheel drive A Porsche 911 with all-wheel drive combines exceptional traction with particularly sporty handling and driving performance. In this new generation, the electro-hydraulically controlled all-wheel drive adopted from the 911 Turbo responds even more quickly and sensitively. This particularly helps aid driver control during sporty driving while maintaining agility. The PASM sport suspension, which lowers the ride height by 10 millimeters compared to the previous model, is fitted as standard to all Carrera models and aids stability during cornering. The new shock absorber generation offers enhanced ride comfort through an even more refined responsiveness, but also reduces body roll during hard cornering. Rear axle steering is available as an option for the Carrera 4S coupe, Carrera 4S cabriolet, and Targa 4S, adopted from the current 911 Turbo and 911 GT3. It increases the turn-in agility of the 911 and aids driver control during lane changes. At the same time, it ensures greater maneuverability in city traffic thanks to a 1.6 foot reduction of the turning radius. The improved handling is transmitted to the driver via the new steering wheel generation with a design based on that found in the 918 Spyder. The standard steering wheel has a diameter of 375 millimeters; the optional GT Sport steering wheel measures 360 millimeters. For enhanced everyday practicality, Porsche offers an optional electro-hydraulic lift system with lifting cylinders that are integrated into the front axle struts. Ground clearance at the front spoiler lip can be increased by 40 millimeters within five seconds at the touch of a button. This is particularly useful when encountering speed bumps or steep driveways. Connectivity and infotainment system: PCM with multi-touch display and new functions
The completely new PCM connectivity and infotainment system is standard and integrates new functions around the multi-touch display in the center console that now has a seven-inch format. Also fitted as standard, the navigation system can be operated much more like a smartphone and can also process handwritten input. Drivers can access real-time traffic information with a free one-year subscription. In addition, compatible mobile phones and smartphones can now be integrated more quickly, easily, and extensively than before via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or cable. Vehicle-related services such as remote retrieval of vehicle data and Internet-based services such as Google® StreetView and Internet radio are also included in a free one-year subscription. The new 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and 911 Targa 4 range will be available in the U.S. beginning in April 2016. Atlanta. Inspired by the heritage of the Porsche 911, British artist Gerry Judah has created a sculpture which is now located on the Porscheplatz in Zuffenhausen, Germany, where the first 911 rolled off the assembly line in 1963. The sculpture consists of three pillars measuring up to 78 feet in height, each crowned with a Porsche 911 mounted at the top. The vehicles hail from different 911 generations paying tribute to the icon's vast history.
The event held on the evening of August 31, 2015 marked the official presentation of the sculpture entitled "Inspiration 911". The Porscheplatz was cast in a combination of lights, film, and vehicle choreography. Using the glass facade of the Porsche Museum as a screen, film clips were projected to create a visual display area measuring more than 2,100 square feet. A moving progression included vehicles that are also components of the art piece: an F-model from 1970, a G-model from 1981, as well as the latest generation 911. Light effects utilizing the architecture of the museum fascinated spectators. For the finale, the current model range of Porsche vehicles was showcased to guests in the grandstands. Matthias Mueller, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG, said during his address at the event, "The sculpture that we present today is more than a work of art. It is also a symbol for our company's close ties with Stuttgart." In recent years, Porsche has invested around one billion Euros in facilities in the greater Stuttgart area.
